Batangharinews.com – Setelah sukses dengan panen jagung di wilayah binaan Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Pertamina EP Jambi Field kembali mencatatkan keberhasilan melalui panen buah melon di Kabupaten Batanghari. Kelompok Tani Paris Jaya, yang merupakan binaan Pertamina EP Jambi Field di Desa Pompa Air, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batanghari, menggelar Panen Raya Melon pada Kamis (24/4/2025).
Sebanyak 4,5 ton buah melon jenis Merlin berhasil dipanen kali ini. Kelompok Tani Paris Jaya pun tidak khawatir soal pemasaran, karena seluruh hasil panen telah dipesan oleh sejumlah distributor dari pasar induk di Kabupaten Batanghari dan Kota Jambi.
“Kelompok tani kami sudah dikenal bagus, jadi punya jaringan pemasaran yang cukup luas,” ujar Maghfur Nasuha, Ketua Kelompok Tani Paris Jaya. Ia menambahkan, pembinaan yang dilakukan Pertamina selama empat tahun terakhir telah membawa perubahan signifikan bagi para petani. “Dulu kami bertani seadanya, sekarang anggota kelompok sudah lebih terampil, hasil panen meningkat, dan kehidupan pun lebih baik,” ungkapnya. Saat ini, Kelompok Tani Paris Jaya memiliki 25 anggota aktif yang terus berkembang dalam hal kapasitas dan kemandirian.
Pertamina EP Jambi Field turut bangga akan hal ini. “Karena artinya program ini berhasil menjadi wujud nyata tanggungjawab sosial perusahaan yang penerima manfaatnya makin luas. Pertamina EP Jambi tak hanya mengemban amanat untuk menjaga ketahanan energi, namun turut mendukung ketahanan pangan yang sedang digencarkan pemerintah,” kata Pjs Manager Pertamina EP Field Jambi Zainudin seraya memberi selamat atas keberhasilan panen ini.
Program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (PPM) dari Pertamina EP Jambi, yang merupakan bagian dari Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Zona 1 ini telah dimulai sejak 2020. Desa Pompa Air, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batanghari—yang merupakan desa ring I dari wilayah operasi perusahaan—menjadi salah satu fokus utama dalam implementasi program ini. Wilayah Bajubang, yang dulunya dikenal sebagai daerah penghasil minyak, nyatanya menyimpan potensi besar di sektor pertanian dan perkebunan. Dengan kondisi tanah yang subur serta semangat kerja para petani yang tinggi, kawasan ini perlahan menjelma menjadi sentra pertanian baru yang menjanjikan.
Setelah empat tahun pembinaan, kelompok Tani Paris Jaya kini mahir membuat perencanaan masa tanam, pupuk olahan mandiri, jurnal tani sebagai evaluasi hingga rancangan pertanian terpadu yang terintegrasi dengan peternakan dan kolam ikan. Bahkan Mas pur, panggilan akrab Maghfur Nasuha mendapat penghargaan sebagai Petani Berprestasi Kabupaten Batanghari pada Juli 2024 lalu dan diajak menularkan ilmunya ke kelompok tani di desa-desa lain.
Beberapa kali kelompok ini pun berhasil panen dengan hasil panen yang berkualitas. Tak hanya melon, kelompok tani Paris Jaya sudah pernah panen timun suri, labu madu, jagung, cabai, kacang panjang, pare, hingga terong. Hal ini tak lepas dari pelatihan serta dukungan alat dan bahan yang diberikan oleh Pertamina EP Jambi. “Hasil panen dari kelompok tani Paris Jaya memang selalu ditunggu-tunggu. Ramadan lalu produknya kami bawa ke Gerakan Pangan Murah di kabupaten,” puji Kepala Dinas Pangan, Pertanian dan Perikanan Kabupaten Batanghari, Farizal.
PPM, yang juga dikenal sebagai Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), merupakan bagian dari komitmen Pertamina EP Jambi dalam mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. PPM ini dijalankan melalui empat pilar utama, yaitu kesehatan, sosial, ekonomi, dan pendidikan. Program Pertanian Terpadu yang dijalankan Kelompok Tani Paris Jaya termasuk dalam pilar ekonomi. Program ini selaras dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs), khususnya poin ke-8: Pekerjaan Layak dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi.
