SAROLANGUN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Sarolangun menunjukkan keseriusannya dalam mendukung program swasembada pangan nasional yang dicanangkan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.
Semua itu dapat di lihat melalui program penanaman serentak yang merupakan tindak lanjut dari inisiatif serupa di tingkat provinsi Jambi.
Bupati Sarolangun, H Hurmin, mengungkapkan bahwa kabupatennya memiliki potensi lahan baku sawah seluas 3.977,86 hektar.
Target luas tambah tanam (LTT) yang dicanangkan mencapai 7.413 hektar, terdiri dari 6.925 hektar lahan reguler dan 488 hektar lahan optimalisasi.
"Untuk target LTT bulan April 2025 ini saja, kita menargetkan seluas 831 hektar dengan target tanam harian antara 28 hingga 30 hektar per hari," ujar Bupati Hurmin.
Hingga tanggal 21 April 2025, realisasi penanaman padi sawah di Sarolangun telah mencapai 488 hektar.
Dengan adanya program penanaman serentak ini, diharapkan target 831 hektar pada bulan April dapat tercapai, dan secara keseluruhan target 6.925 hektar LTT padi sawah serta 4.871 hektar padi ladang dengan Indeks Pertanaman (IP) 200 dapat terealisasi.
Dalam hal ini, Dinas terkait dan para penyuluh pertanian lapangan yang berjumlah 126 orang juga turut aktif memberikan pendampingan agar petani dapat mencapai hasil panen yang maksimal.
Dengan target IP 200, Pemkab Sarolangun optimis dapat melakukan penanaman padi sawah sebanyak dua kali dalam setahun.
Jika target ini tercapai dengan rata-rata produktivitas 4,4 ton per hektar, maka diperkirakan hasil panen pada periode pertama dapat mencapai 2.147,2 ton.
Bupati Hurmin mengakui adanya beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, salah satunya adalah pengaturan jadwal tanam akibat irigasi yang belum sepenuhnya lancar.
Pemerintah daerah berjanji akan terus berupaya mengatasi kendala-kendala tersebut demi keberhasilan program swasembada pangan di Kabupaten Sarolangun.
Dandim Sarko Letkol inf Suyono juga menyebut upaya mencapai target tersebut, personil TNI juga dilibatkan mendampingi para petani dan memberikan bimbingan mengenai praktik penanaman yang baik.
"Diketahui, total luas lahan di Kabupaten Sarolangun mencapai 3.000 hektar, menunjukkan potensi besar daerah ini dalam berkontribusi pada ketahanan pangan nasional," tutupnya.
