MERANGIN - Pendapatan Rumah Sakit Daerah (RSD) Kol Abundjani Bangko, ternyata habis hanya untuk membayar gaji pegawainya, yang jumlahnya mencapai 736 orang. Makanya rumah sakit milik Pemkab Merangin itu tidak berkembang.
Hal tersebut  dikatakan Bupati Merangin H M Syukur saat berdialog langsung dengan para tenaga kerja RSD Kol Abundjani Bangko di Aula rumah sakit tersebut, Kamis (10/4).
‘’Jumlah tenaga kerja Rumah Sakit kita itu yang Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) sebanyak 245 orang, PPPK sebanyak 35 orang dan  BLUD 456 orang, sehingga totalnya mencapai 736 orang,’’ ujar Bupati.
Jika jumlah pasien setiap harinya sebanyak 200 orang lanjut bupati, artinya yang melayaninya sebanyak 736 orang. Kondisi ini jelas bupati, jelas jelimpang antara yang melayani dengan yang dilayani.
Untuk tenaga kerja homor BLUD terang bupati, setiap bulannya mendapatkan penghasilan antara Rp 500.000,- sampai Rp 1.950.000,-. Mayoritas tenaga honor BLUD itu mendapat gaji diangka Rp 800.000,-.
Jadi tegas bupati, penghasilan RSD Kol Abundjani Bangko itu, habis hanya untuk membajar gaji para tenaga kerjanya. Makanya rumah sakit itu tidak bisa berkembang dan tertinggal dengan rumah sakit di kabupaten lainnya.
‘Inilah yang menjadi target utama saya, membenahi rumah sakit kita. Ini harus cepat dibenahi karena menyangkut pelayanan masyarakat. Tadinya saya menargetkan tiga tahun untuk membenahinya, tapi ini sangat penting harus dua tahun tuntas,’’ jelas Bupati.
Kalau rumah sakit itu dibiarkan begitu saja, bupati yakin tidak akan ada lagi masyarakat yang berobat ke rumah sakit itu. Sebaliknya bila cepat dibenahi dengan pelayanan prima, bupati yakin tidak ada lagi masyarakat yang berobat keluar Merangin. 
Secara umum dijelaskan bupati, peralatan medis yang ada di rumah sakit  itu sudah lengkap, hanya beberapa perlatan medis saja yang belum lengkap dan itu akan segera dilengkapi Pemkab Merangin.
‘’Malu rasanya saya ketika mendengar ada warga Merangin berobat ke kabupaten tetangga, padahal kita sama-sama kabupaten. Ini artinya rumah sakit kabupaten tetangga lebih baik dari rumah sakit kita,’’ curhat Bupati.
Diceritakan bupati, beliau pernah berkunjung ke rumah sakit di suatu daerah, yang pelayanannya luar biasa. Begitu sampai di rumah sakit itu, H M Syukur  sudah disambut dan diarahkan dengan penuh senyum dan ramah.
‘’Saya perhatikan, ternyata pelayanan yang menyenangkan itu tidak hanya diperlakukan kepada saya saja, tapi juga kepada para pasien lainnya. Tak heran bila pasien  merasa nyaman dan puas sekali,’’ terang Bupati.
Tapi sambung bupati, bila begitu sampai di rumah sakit tidak dilayani dengan baik, disambut dengan ‘muka masam’, siapa yang akan merasa nyaman dan puas, tentu malah jadi mangkel dan malas berobat ke rumah sakit itu.
