MERANGIN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin melalui Dinas Pendidikan Kebudayaan Merangin kembali mengeluarkan surat edaran terkait perpanjangan libur sekolah mulai dari jenjang RA/PAUD/SD/MI/SMP dan MTS terkait pencegahan penyebaran virus corona. Dalam himbauan itu siswa sekolah diliburkan mulai 6-12 April 2019. 
Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kebudayaan Merangin, M. Zubir mengatakan, bahwa tidak hanya sekolah yang diliburkan tetapi juga tenaga kependidikannya baik PNS maupun tenaga honorer. 
"Ya, berdasarkan surat edaran dan himbauan Bupati Merangin libur sekolah diperpanjang 6-12 April," kata M. Zubir.
Zubir juga menyebutkan bahwa libur kali ini tidak hanya diberlakukan bagi siswa sekolah, akan tetapi juga tenaga kependidikannya namun Zubir menyatakan bahwa selama libur tenaga kependidikan PNS maupun non PNS, melaksanakan tugas kedinasan dari rumah. "Ketentuannya, tetap berada dirumah kecuali kepentingan mendesak guna memenuhi kebutuhan tertentu," ujarnya. 
Selain itu, dirinya mengungkapkan bahwa guru diminta agar tugas yang telah dilakukan disampaikan ke kepala sekolah. "Selanjutnya kepala sekolah menggugah laporan hasil pelaksanaan belajar melalui grup Facebook Dinas Pendidikan Kebudayaan Merangin," sebutnya. 
"Kami juga berharap harus selalu mengaktifkan alat komunikasi agar sewaktu waktu dapat dihubungi," tambahnya.
 Disamping itu, guru juga memberikan tugas kepada siswa, secara terstruktur baik melalui online maupun offline.  Dan siswa mengirimkan dokumentasi belajar kepada guru berupa foto hasil tugas yang telah dikerjakan. 
"Guru juga tidak diperkenankan memberatkan siswa dalam memberikan tugas," tegasnya.
Dalam himbauan ini pemerintah Merangin  juga berharap orang tua siswa agar selalu meningkatkan iman dan taqwa, serta 
mengawasi aktifitas anak diluar rumah selama libur.
 "Selalu menjaga kebersihan dan kesehatan dirumah serta seluruh sekolah diharapkan menyediakan sarana cuci tangan (handwash). Terakhir saya berharap guru agar selalu memberikan semangat kepada siswa siswi sehingga tidak panik dalam menghadapi kasus covid 19," tandasnya.
